—About Me—
—Adventurer at Heart—
I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a desire to understand the world both through scientific inquiry and lived experience. As a scientist, STEM educator, and adventurer at heart, I pursue discovery wherever it leads, crawling through the caves of Kentucky, gazing at the night sky through astrophotography in Bryce Canyon, backpacking across the European continent, cliff diving in Majorca, or challenging myself on a Via Ferrata in Maine.
That same spirit of exploration continues to shape my path today. My wife and I have recently accepted a postdoctoral appointment at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany, and we are excited to embrace the opportunity not only to advance my career as a researcher, but also to exploring Europe together.

STEM Educator
My passion for STEM education is grounded in a commitment to making science accessible, engaging, and relevant to learners from all walks of life. I believe that strong scientific literacy empowers individuals to think critically, solve problems, and better understand the world they inhabit. In both formal instruction and informal outreach, I focus on translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that spark curiosity and encourage exploration. This dedication to effective science communication shapes my work and underscores my broader mission to help others discover the excitement inherent in the sciences.
This commitment to meaningful science communication has also inspired me to volunteer my time in settings where curiosity thrives. I have contributed at museums, supported programs at colleges, and engaged with learners online, all with the goal of creating welcoming spaces for inquiry and discovery. These experiences reinforce my belief that STEM education can open doors, spark imagination, and build communities centered on learning.
